Dearest Augusta
I will try
and write you a few lines as I ought to of
done long before this, thought I would get to speak to you tonight but
dident get to please dont think that I dont want to What
do you think of this winter weather? I think it is pretty cold. I was
talking to Hazel M tonight said she thought she had a spell on that Sat
night. Say Kid I dont know what I will do this winter if
I have to make my calls so far apart guess I will have to study all the
time but I will be so lonesome for you
Well I
must close for I am about forze and it is 11
o'clock to. Will be over Sat night and untill that time think of the
promise you made me.

Talk about
taking up my time reading your letter, well
dont you ever think about any thing of the kind. it is a pleasure to
read them.
I never
heard what Gert said at all and she had better be carful or she will
get a piece of my mind and get it about right

know you have said that you would never
would let anyone come back that quit you but wont you please let me
come over Saturday evening? let me come and take you for a drive
if nothing else if you can forgive me for the way I used you. if not
Saturday night Sund night. You said you would like to talk to me so
this is a chance.
Well I
must close and go to work hoping every thing will be O K with you I

Dear Friend!
Well how
are you? Suppose you got over that Literary
all right. those fellows were going to "clean up on the bunch" or that
is what they said going up the road but they did'ent try
it, guess the knew better they would of had their hands full I guess.
You must
of hid when I came past Monday, I was "all
in" when I got out here walked all the way about 17 miles guess it was
some hike, did not work any yesterday (monday) and am not
working for it is raining some out here but dont suppose it is over in
Union.
Well I
will close for this time. Will be over Saturday evening,

Hello Dutch
No doubt
you will be surprised to get this but hope you will recover.
Well of
all things you ought to saw me beating a path
to the mail box for the last two week's and evry day met with
disappointment but I suppose you was useing me as I used you ha'
ha" "one good turn deservs an other"
Why
wasent you at the play Saturday night? it was
fine, would of liked to of seen you! You people had better have your
play some other night for I would like to go to Emmett's play
and to Petersburg too but cant divide myself
Say when
are you going to let me come over and stay with you? Never I suppose,
I have
given up all hope of being with you again for
you will not let me come as long as Harve is going with you, for he
will not allow Oh' such jealousy dont forget our trip for
this summer,
Well I
