came home from town it is now eleven o'clock and if I had not promised
to write and for disappointing you I would not have written to

wish I hadent asked Hazel to go with me to

Gertrude at Endeavor Sunday night was talking to her she said it was

Well you
certainly want me to write as bad as I want to but I wont break my
promise if it is only a few words
Hope you
had a good time at the fair would liked to of
went but my money was just a little to close for that I am going to
send for a cornet maby tonight and will do what you wanted
me to maby you and I can sometime play togather wont it be fine
Well kid
you ought to see the times Bessie Shaw from
Aliance is here and she is a perfect "devil" (if you will allow me to
use that expression) she and Grace togather dont give me a
minute's rest.

I was in Delaware for the street fair say I
would see anybody else go with you then boy or girl not that I
disbelieve you for I dont for you are true but remember your
promise

Dearest Friend.
While I
wait on Grace to get ready to go to Practice will write you a few
lines Mt Pleasant is going to sing for the reunion
Sweetheart
this may be the last letter I will write to
you from here as I am going to leave here Friday evening and go home we
are going to play ball Sat so I can put my clothes in
my suite case and if they ask me anything I can tell them that I have
my ball suite in it then I am going to Akron Sunday and try and get
Florence to come home and go to school with me at Harlem this
winter will be back home Monday or Tuesday now what do you think of my
scheme. I will tell you when you come home why I am leaving.
Now I
have never doubted your trueness to me or never
will untill you tell me yourself that you are not true and I hope that
day will never come but hope the day will come when I can
call you my own little wife. by that you can see I dont doubt you
As for
going with other fellows you enjoy Your self go if you want to.
I have
not been with any girls only Hazel and that is no more.
Well now
Aunty I suppose that you will get to ride in
that auto say that makes me laugh when I think what you said about him
tell John if it is a boy to rember me.
I had a
card from Ray Smeltz he said that they heard we were married am going
to tell him that we are just for fun
Well I
guess I will have to close for this time will
tell you a whole lot of stuf when you come home I want to meet you at
the train this time and pardon me for not writing sooner
