Beg
parden, but I think you are mistaken
about the letter. the last one I got was dated Feb 11, but no diff.
I havent
heard anything about the party
since you went away. Hope you had a good time while you was gone.
Otto
Morehead and I was at a pie social
last Saturday night between Kilgore and Harlem, came home Sun evening
through the rain.
Will it
suit for me to call Saturday
evening
the 14? that will be next Saturday evening. will see you at the pie
social, if it isent raining. Sherman and I are going to play for
them.
We
intended to have Literary at our
school, but
Oliver Long is Director and he dont want us to have it. (The old crank)
We are going to try and talk Hazel up and have it in spite of
him.
Well I am
writing this at 10 o'clock P.M.
and am getting sleepy, so I will close hoping the date will be
satisfactory.

Dear Friend.
I will now
try and answer your letter
this cold
morning what do you think of this for a change? I dont think very much
of it it is to cold.
How did
you get home Sunday evening?
Are you
going to have that party Friday
evening? There was a party at Saltzginers last Tuesday evening and one
a Bothwells next Tuesday evening.
Our
school will be out the 14th and are
going to have a picnic You want to be sure and come and have a good
time.
Dont know
if you will believe me or not.
Expect
you will though. I told you Saturday night that I was going to quit
chewing when I got that package chewed now it is gone and I have
quit for good and feel better than before.
Sent for
that play monday havent got it
yet will bring it over when I come.
Florence
wants you and I to come down to
commencement (oh dear) it is on the first or the middle of May she said
she dident know just when
Are you
going to Endeavor Sunday night?

havent got any piece yet will have look
for one pretty soon

hand to obey your command What do you think of this kind of a day?
Where are
you going to spend Decoration
day. expect I will spend it at home working.
There is
going to be a play at Kilgore
that night guess I will go want some one to go along so I will ask you
to accompany me.

tell you more about it Saturday
night because I havent got mad yet. ha' ha''
Havent
