Dear Friend.
I will try
to answer your letter
which I rec'd some time a-go, how do you like this kind of weather I
dont like it at all.
Sorry to
say that we will have to postpone
going to Dellroy Sun, for I cant get a horse but we will go some time
if we have to fly.
Mr Kuhn
and I were in town Monday night. He told me he was going to ask Lory if
he could take her to Pleasant Hill the 21st.
Wouldent
I like to see them come in, he was talking about her the whole way to
town and back. I would answer yes and no.
There was
a mad-dog on this ridge yesterday it
bit two of Smith's dogs then it went towards our house but dident get
here it turned around went back to Smith's on the way back it
tried to get in the buggy with Mr Ulman. When last seen it was going
toward Sherman's. hope it will get a load of shot.
I heard
there was going to be another wedding over here during the holiday's.
dont think because because I said
here it is me for
it is not (no sir-ee) It is Charley and
Sadie. dont know if it is true or not.
Have you
been over to church yet dont know if I
will go before the 21st or not maby I had go and get acquainted with
the church not the people Ha Ha,
Are you
going to Endeavar Sun night I am if they have it will see you there

Kind Friend.
I told you
I would send that
letter today. You will have to pardon me for not sending it as it was
impossible for me to do so.
You think
I said in it, that I wouldent be over
Sat night. No, I said that we would go to church if you want to. and
another thing was, what I told you tuesday night at church. I
will tell you more Sat night.
Wish I
would of known that you was over at
Shermans the day they butchered, would of liked to of been in that
greasing match myself.
What did
you think of Mr Kuhn tuesday night. I
dident think very much of it, Warner and I told him so going home too.
I had a gun with me but I dident take it with the intention of
shooting like that, I took it expecting to see a mad-dog or something
of that sort. think it made him about half mad but I dont care. John
Rutledge told me last night that he was geting a guitar he
wanted me to give him lessons but told him I couldent but would show
him the chords.
I will
have to close for it is about time for my class, Hoping to see you soon
I still remain
Your Friend,
Harry.
