Friend Augusta.

    You said "answer soon if not sooner" I think this about as soon as I can ha' ha"
    Was there a missunderstanding (oh my) between us sunday night or not did you say I could call Sat night or not I supposed the way your letter whitch I rec'd today read it was no.
    You call me Sat evening at 5 p.m. and if I am to come say "yes" and if not say "no"
    I have not got my buggy yet. I will go to the Infermary if I can get a rig I will have to close and go to bed I will ring off with a good night

Kind Friend.

    This evening finds me with pencil in hand to write you a few lines how did you get home Sat night
    I got home about two got up at six went to see about my rig
there was nothing more than I told you only two bows in the tok was spring
    I suppose you will be at M P next Sat night
When will it suit for me to call I will not promice to take you for a drive untill I get my rig I will have to send it to the factory and it may take two or three weeks.
    When are you and Florence comeing up to go to church at arabia there is preaching in two weeks at 10.30 in four weeks at 2.30
    Well I will have to ring off and go to bed for it is getting late and I am geting sleepy hoping to hear from you or see you soon I still remain
